Molly Ann Wishlade interviews Catrin Owens from Trying Too Hard

Romance Library

Hey Catrin! Thanks for coming to my blog today.

Thanks Molly! I’m delighted to be here as part of the Carina authors We Love Romance blog hop.

You ready to answer some questions?

Fire away!

What’s in your refrigerator right now?

Um…well with Valentine’s Day just around the corner…I have a bottle of champagne and some strawberries. The problem is that this time of year, strawberries aren’t really at their best. I love them during July and August when they come straight from the fields. Of course, I don’t have much else there because…I’m kind of spending a lot of time at the Hilton. 😉

I see! Would that be with a certain gorgeous rugby player?

I don’t want to give too much away, Molly, but…well…I’m smiling aren’t I?

Do you have a habit you wish you could break?

Up until recently, I’d have said that I wanted to stop believing what my mother always told me about men. It was hard to deal with the constant onslaught growing up. But…I hope I’m moving on. Well…I know I am!

Does a sexy Frenchman have something to do with that?

*grins and blushes*

What do you like most about yourself?

My desire to see the good in everyone. I have a gentle heart and I always hope that others are the same. Sometimes…it gets me hurt. But I’d rather be positive than bitter and cold.

What do you dislike?

I hate the feeling of jealousy that sometimes creeps in. Like with Valentina, for instance. You know, the supermodel? When I saw her on the red carpet with Henri…I thought my heart would break.

That must have been tough.

*nods*

What was it about Henri that made you fall in love with him?

Where do I start? He’s just such an amazing man! He’s all the obvious things…you know…sexy, gorgeous, an amazing lover…but he is also my best friend – next to Sarah. He gets me like no one else ever has. We laugh together, talk for hours and love snuggling up to watch TV shows like House of Cards and The Sopranos. He has good old fashioned family values, just like me.

He sounds wonderful. I’m so happy for you. What’s next?

Well, things are going great at the agency since the rugby match which got all that exposure! I have clients asking for me by name and so much work, I’ve actually had to decline a few.

And anything else?

Henri and I are going away for a Valentine’s break…after the Six Nations Championship finishes, of course. A few days alone, somewhere quiet, where no one knows us. I can’t wait!

Have a great time, Catrin! Thanks for stopping by. 

We LOVE Romance Blog Hop – Favourite Romance Movie

Valentine_s event widget

I had to think about this one. I mean, I’ve read so many romances and watched so many movies and TV shows…Should I write about Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights…or Grease…or Friends…But then it became clear!

What movie set my pulse racing as a teenager? What movie made me get up and dance, pretending I was some sort of 1960s sexy siren?

Dirty Dancing, of course! Those immortal lines…Nobody puts Baby in a corner! Oh! To have a gorgeous, honed, bad boy like Johnny Castle fall for you when you were just a gawky teenager…What can I say? Johnny was older, more experienced and hot as hell! But he also had that vulnerability that makes a bad boy just irresistible. 😉

I have watched it countless times and it doesn’t lose its impact. Obviously, I’m older now and I no longer share Baby’s perspective…but heh…it still makes me want to get up do the mashed potato!!!
